Riley Cooper Racial Slur:

After video of Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver Riley Copper surfaced with him at a concert making a racially insensitive comment, Copper issued a statement apologizing for his behavior. “I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself. I want to apologize, I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, to Jeffrey Lurie, to Howie Roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did was wrong and I will accept the consequences.” Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie released his own statement saying that he was “ shocked and appalled.” Cooper later acknowledged that the team will fine him in regards to this incident. I think the Eagles should do more then just fine Copper, they should cut him immediately. This kind of nonsense can’t be tolerated. Teammates Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy say that they forgive Copper, but McCoy also said his relationship with Cooper will never be the same. The team announced Thursday that Cooper will enroll in sensitivity training. Something tells me that this is going to be a huge distraction going forward. If Cooper thinks people will just forget about this, he better think again just ask Paula Deen.

Former Patriots tight-end Aaron Hernandez writes a letter from jail proclaiming his innocence. “ I know everything happens for a reason and I know ‘GOD’ has a plan for me and something good will out of this. The world just makes things out of false accusations and it will all die down especially when they say Not Guilty and all the people who turned on me will feel like crap.” I can only imagine what Hernandez is going though and yes everything happens for a reason. But the reason he is in this mess is because he is involved in this crime there’s no disputing that. Whether or not he killed Odin Lloyd, a Jury will decide that.
Jonathan Ogden Goes To Canton:
The Baltimore Ravens first draft pick ever Jonathan Ogden will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. Ogden, in my opinion is the best left-tackle in the history of the NFL. Okay yes, I’m a Ravens fan so I’m biased but still the facts are the facts. Before the 96 draft former Ravens owner Art Modell wanted Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome to draft Lawrence Phillips a game changing running back out of Nebraska. See Modell like most owners was thinking about how to put butts in the seats. Newsome wanted Ogden a big time left tackle out of UCLA a guy who could protect the quarterback. In the end Modell let Newsome draft Ogden, who went on to become a Hall of Fame left tackle. While Lawrence Phillips was out of the league in 4 years and is currently serving a long prison sentence. Guess who Ogden chose to introduce him into the Hall of Fame this weekend, you guessed it Ozzie Newsome.
