Eagles, Kelly May Not Have Lift Off:
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly might have to change the pace of his offense. NFL vice president of officiating, Dean Blandino, told the Wall Street Journal “We’re going through our normal ball mechanics. We aren’t going to rush unless it’s in the two-minute drill.” This isn’t the first time that the speed of how a team runs it offense have come under scrutiny. Last season some NFL players where upset with Tom Brady and the England Patriots because of the way that they ran their hurry up offense. New York Jets linebacker, Calvin Pace, called it “borderline illegal.” My feeling on this is that coach Kelly will adjust and by the regular season this won’t be a problem.
Murder Weapon Search Day 2:
Police divers were back again today searching a pond in Bristol Connecticut, the hometown of Aaron Hernandez, looking for the murder weapon in connection to the murder of Odin Lloyd. So far police have not said what it is that they are looking for, only that the search is in connection to the Hernandez investigation. What else could they looking for? The prosecution isn’t spending all this time and money looking for Hernandez’s dirty socks. At this point the odds of finding this gun are slim. They might have a better chance of finding a “Needle in a Haystack.”
When Will Ed Reed Play?:
Houston Texans safety Ed Reed, doesn’t know when he will be ready to play. Reed told the Associated Press, “I can tell you it is close, but I can’t say that it is the first game because I don’t know.” Reed had surgery in April to repair is hip, and is currently on the PUP(Physically Unable to Perform) list. I think the Ravens must have known about this. Which is probably why they didn’t make more of an effort to resign Reed this off-season.
Adrian Peterson Wants Rushing Record:
Adrian Peterson wants to be the NFL all time leading rusher. In fact Peterson thinks he will break the mark in 2017. After shredding his knee during the 2011 season. Peterson came back in 2012, and finished eight yards shy of Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record (2,105) Peterson rushed for (2,097). Emmett Smith is currently the NFL all time leading rusher (18,355). Can Peterson catch Smith? I would love to see him do it, but I don’t think he will. Peterson is 28 with a history of nagging injuries, he’s probably going to miss a few more games over the rest of his career which will definitely hurts his chances.
A Few Things I Think:
I think retiring Eric LeGrand’s jersey is a classy move by Rutgers University.
I think Percy Harvin being out 3 to 4 months is a big blow to the Seahawk’s offense.
I think Joe Flacco will win league MVP.
I think Greg Jennings need’s to shut up about Aaron Rogers.
I think Michael Vick is going to lead the Eagles to the playoffs this year.
