Aaron Hernandez Murder Investigation Update:
Connecticut and Massachusetts police search in and around a pond in Aaron Hernandez’s hometown of Bristol Connecticut, more than likely looking for the gun used to murder Odin Lloyd. Talk about “leaving no stone unturned”. Some legal experts believe that the prosecution already has a strong circumstantial case and finding the murder weapon would be the icing on the cake.
Welcome Back Leach:
The Baltimore Ravens re-sign Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach Monday, agreeing to a 2 year deal. Leach was released by the team in June in order to save money under the salary cap. By bringing Leach back the Ravens add some much needed toughness to their roster. The team also signed Tight End Visanthe Shiancoe to a 1 year deal to help replace Dennis Pitta who is out for the season with a dislocated hip.
49ers cornerback Tarell Brown fired his agent, after he failed to notify him about a clause in his contract that required him to attend the team’s offseason workouts. As a result Brown lost 2 million in salary this season. I understand that it’s the agents job to be aware of the clause in the contract, but shouldn’t the player know also?. Maybe Brown should watch ESPN’s “30 for 30: Broke” to get a better understanding of how important it is for players to understand the contracts they are signing.
Handle With Care:
Redskins quarterback, Robert Griffin III, says he will wear a knee brace all season after tearing his right ACL last year. I think this a good move by the team. They need to protect RG3 like a mother protecting her newborn child because the Redskins’ season will go up in smoke if this guy gets hurt again this year.
